This is a hand-pressed lithographic print of a pen and ink drawing by Naomi Blayney. Durham Cathedral, a renowned masterpiece of Norman architecture, is one of the most well known landmarks in northern England. Building began in 1093 and continued for over 40 years. Built as a place of worship and a shrine to Saint Cuthbert it became the home of a Benedictine monastic community. This view shows the Old Fulling Mill, now the Museum of Archaeology, on the banks of the River Wear. The print is signed by the artist and comes with a double mount ready to be framed.
